Boris Johnson must go

Boris Johnson broke the law, lied to you and treated you with contempt.

Millions of people obeyed the lockdown rules, often at huge personal cost. They missed funerals, cancelled weddings and said goodbye to dying loved ones on video calls - some on the very day that Number Ten illegally hosted a garden party.

Boris Johnson has become a threat to the health of our nation

On 20 May 2020, the Culture Secretary stood at the podium in Number 10 and told the public: "You can meet one person outside your household in an outdoor public place, provided that you stay two metres apart."

That very same day, Boris Johnson was partying in Downing Street's private garden.

He seems to believe that it's one rule for you, no rules for him.

Millions of people are rightly furious and fed up with a Prime Minister who not only allowed his colleagues to flagrantly break the rules - but has repeatedly lied to the public about it.

There's no blustering his way out of this one; Boris Johnson has broken the law and lied to Parliament and the country, and he must now go.

It is a kick in the teeth for everyone who has sacrificed so much during the pandemic, from those who weren't able to visit loved ones in hospital, to nurses left wearing binbags as PPE.

Boris Johnson has become a threat to the health of our nation, and for the sake of the country still gripped by this awful pandemic he must resign.
