Uckfield Public Meeting - Tuesday April 2nd 7-9pm at Uckfield Civic Centre

April 2, 2019 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Uckfield Civic Centre

Paul SparksAll Uckfield residents are invited and encouraged to attend this public meeting on Tuesday April 2nd from 7-9pm at the Uckfield Civic Centre. Paul Sparks, Uckfield town councillor and the Liberal Democrat District Council candidate for Uckfield East ward explains that this meeting has been arranged in order to give local residents the opportunity to quiz all our Uckfield candidates in advance of the Wealden District Council elections on Thursday 2nd May, and to discuss some of the key issues in Uckfield that Wealden District Council needs to address, such as uncontrolled parking in the Town Centre and on residential roads.

"One potential solution would be to have traffic wardens in Uckfield enforcing parking controls, together with Residents Parking Zones," says Paul. "So we would like to explain how this would work to residents, and get their reaction and input, in order to best argue our case at Wealden District Council."

Paul and the other candidates will be happy to discuss other issues such as Bin Collections and the new £50 charge for garden rubbish, and to answer any and all questions that residents might have.
