Tim Farron MPFormer Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron has been the MP for the predominantly rural Lake District constituency Westmorland and Lonsdale since 2005 (when he defeated the incumbent, thereby ending a 95-year rule by the Tories!) and lives in south Cumbria with his wife Rosie and their four children.

During his 15 years in Parliament, Tim has asked many questions relating to the Departments of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Health, Communities and Local Government, the Home Office and the Treasury - many of which link in with the areas that Tim has fought for so passionately in his constituency, from campaigning for a cancer unit at Westmorland General Hospital to supporting farmers and their livelihood.

Tim continues to be one of the most vociferous opposition voices in Westminster, whether fighting against trade deals that would both lower our food standards and destroy independent farmers; campaigning to save outdoor recreation spaces; or speaking up for the "forgotten three million" self-employed people who have yet to receive any COVID-19 financial support from the Johnson government.

We are delighted that Tim has agreed to be our special guest speaker at this year's AGM on November 7, 2020 - for more information on the event including how to register, and how to submit a question for Tim, please CLICK HERE
