Coronavirus in our community - links & updates
The Covid-19 Coronavirus situation continues to change all the time - we therefore urge everyone to please check the latest (frequently updated) guidelines from the NHS and the UK Government.

For the latest Covid-19 information from the national Liberal Democrats please click HERE.
Wealden LibDem Councillors, along with many members and supporters, have been working hard in their communities during this crisis, including Jarvis Brook District & Town Councillor Gareth Owen-Williams (pictured below right) who's been delivering for the Crowborough Food Bank and other local charities throughout the lockdown period.
Many local aid groups have sprung up across Wealden, including this great community mask-sewing initiative in Crowborough, a group called the Sewing Crow-Bees who make and distribute reusable cloth masks (see photo below), with all profits going to local charities including Friends of Crowborough Hospital. https://www.facebook.com/sewingcrowbees
For anyone wishing to help - or needing to access help - please search for local groups in your area using social media.
Additionally, on March 19th LibDem MP and Acting Party Leader Sir Ed Davey put together a Community Taskforce Initiative to help coordinate local efforts by members and supporters across the UK and offer links to resources.
We will endeavour to update this page, as well as our Facebook page and Twitter, as much as possible.
Meanwhile, we send our heartfelt thanks to all the incredible, dedicated NHS staff and essential service workers across Wealden, East Sussex and beyond.
Stay safe, everyone. [Last updated July 29, 2020]
