Further detailed information also available at: https://www.gov.uk/elections-in-the-uk/european-parliament
Attention Overseas Voters!
If you are registered to vote and have a postal vote then there is a risk your ballot paper may not reach you in time for you to complete and return it to the local authority. You can apply for a friend or close relative to vote by proxy on your behalf. Normally the person must vote at the polling station where you would have voted had you still been resident at the UK qualifying address. If the person cannot do this then they can apply for a postal proxy vote - but they cannot do so until your proxy vote application has been received by the local authority and their postal vote application must be received by the local authority by May 8th, 2019.
