Meet Kay Dewick, the LibDem District Council Candidate for UPPER WILLINGDON
KAY DEWICK - LibDem District Council candidate for the newly created Wealden ward of UPPER WILLINGDON
Kay Dewick is well known locally, having previously been a Wealden District Councillor and the former Chair of the Eastbourne Liberal Democrats. She has lately been very involved with the local fight against the unsuitable Brodrickland development (which is literally at the end of her road, Dutchells Way) and is a member of the Brodricksland Group. She is also on the Board of Trustees at Towner Art Gallery.
A specialist Presentation Skills consultant and trainer, Kay spent many years as a singer and actress in the West End, going on to become a BBC radio presenter/producer and a newsreader for the BBC World Service. With her previous experience as a District Councillor together with her local knowledge and public speaking expertise, Kay feels ready and eager to step up and advocate for all residents in the newly created District Council Ward of Upper Willingdon.
"If am elected, I promise to be an active and effective District Councillor," says Kay. "I will not only listen to residents' concerns and represent their best interests, but I will never be afraid to hold those in power to account."
