Meet Paul Coleshill, LibDem WDC candidate for Herstmonceux & Pevensey Levels
PAUL COLESHILL - Liberal Democrat Wealden District Council Candidate for HERSTMONCEUX & PEVENSEY LEVELS
Paul Coleshill is a retired university teacher and professional economist who lives in Ninfield with Tony, his husband of ten years, and their four-year-old rescue dog, a white Labrador named Sammy. As well as his ongoing role on the Ninfield Parish Council, where he's served since 2016, Paul has past experience as a Councilor on two unitary authorities in Scotland - one rural, and one urban.
In addition to having published widely on the subject of best value in local authorities, Paul has actively delivered local council budgets, and guided various council development plans. Paul is also the Chair of NAG, a local action group formed to resist unsustainable development.
"I am standing because I feel our Ward needs an advocate, not an apologist for the council," says Paul. "I promise to be a District Councillor who will hold authority to account and ensure any and all decisions are put under proper scrutiny."
