Wealden Lib Dems Call for Urgent Road Repairs in Crowborough

4 Mar 2025

Many roads in and around Crowborough are in a dreadful state, with potholes and deteriorating surfaces making daily travel frustrating and unsafe for residents. On top of this, the sudden appearance of new traffic lights only adds to congestion concerns.

Highways maintenance falls under East Sussex County Council, but after years of underinvestment, our infrastructure is suffering.

Cllr Jane Clark has reported the potholes on Queens Road near Chapel Green, a regularly used route in the town. While some repairs have been carried out, the road remains in poor condition and in need of further attention.

The Liberal Democrats are pushing for better investment in local roads to ensure safer and smoother journeys for residents. If you have concerns about the condition of roads in your area, please get in touch- we will continue to hold the County Council to account and push for the repairs our communities deserve.
