Working for Residents in Crowborough

Councillor Alison Arthur is committed to supporting local residents and ensuring their voices are heard. From resolving everyday issues to championing larger community projects, she takes pride in helping people across Crowborough.
“One of the things I enjoy most about being a councillor is working directly with residents on the issues that matter to them. Every day is different, and over the last few weeks, I’ve been involved in a variety of casework, including:
🔶 Securing a replacement heritage lamp post in a dark part of my ward to improve safety.
🔶 Helping a resident resolve issues with overhanging trees from a neighbouring development.
🔶 Speaking in support of the Town Council’s bid for land to benefit local wildlife and residents.
🔶 Assisting a resident navigating housing restrictions under Section 157 of the Housing Act.
🔶 Meeting with the new owner of Crowborough Farmers' Market to discuss ideas for its future success.
🔶 Getting a replacement dustbin lid sorted for a resident.
🔶 Holding a councillor surgery at Crowborough Community Centre with colleagues to meet residents, answer questions, and take up issues on their behalf.
Helping residents— whether it’s a small fix or a larger issue— is at the heart of why I became a councillor. If you have any concerns or need support, please get in touch.”
